Heat sugar and water in a pot. Stir in berries, let it boil gently, lower heat, simmer for 10 minutes, strain, and let cool.

Whip powdered sugar with heavy cream until thick and fluffy. Then, fold in mascarpone until smooth.

In a square pan, arrange ladyfingers coated in syrup at the bottom, add half the mascarpone cream, and spread sliced berries.

Repeat the process, using the rest of the cream and ladyfingers on top.

Cover with foil and let it chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. Decorate with extra berries before serving.
