Cook the ground beef with onion and garlic in a pan until meat browns. Add salt, pepper, and paprika for flavor. Pour off any extra fat.

Stir together soup, sour cream, and milk in a big bowl. Add the cooked beef mix, rice, half the cheese (1 cup), and peas if you're using them.

Dump the mixture into your greased dish and sprinkle the other cup of cheese on top.
