03 - 1 teaspoon (2 g) paprika
04 - 1 teaspoon (3 g) garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon (5 g) salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) ground black pepper

07 - 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
08 - 2 large eggs
09 - 60 ml whole milk
10 - 150 g breadcrumbs

→ Frying

11 - Vegetable oil, for deep frying

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the peeled onions crosswise into 1.25 cm rings and gently separate each ring, setting aside the largest and sturdiest for use.
02 - In a bowl, blend the shredded cheddar cheese with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly combined.
03 - Press the cheese mixture firmly inside each onion ring, ensuring the filling is evenly packed within the cavity.
04 - Arrange three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and milk, and the third with breadcrumbs.
05 - Coat each stuffed onion ring first in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finish with an even coating of breadcrumbs. Repeat for a second coating if extra crispness is desired.
06 - Heat oil in a deep fryer or large heavy-bottomed skillet to 190°C. Fry rings in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.
07 - Plate the hot cheesy onion rings immediately and accompany with preferred dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - For a lighter result, bake at 200°C for 15–20 minutes, turning once halfway through.
02 - Verify oil temperature before frying to prevent sogginess and excessive oil absorption.
03 - Try alternative cheeses such as mozzarella or pepper jack for added flavor diversity.
