Slice the sprout heads in half down the middle after trimming their stems and peeling the outer leaves.

Submerge the halved sprouts in hot water from the tap. Wait 15 minutes.

Turn your air fryer on and set it to 375°F.

Once drained, toss sprouts with pepper, olive oil, salt, and red pepper flakes (if you like some heat).

Spread the sprouts in one even layer in the air fryer basket. At 375°F, cook them for 12 minutes. Give them a shake halfway through.

Move the crispy sprouts onto a dish and enjoy while they’re still warm.
