Luxury Cheesy Pasta Layers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Pasta and Meat

01 - 12 flat lasagna sheets
02 - 1-1/4 lbs ground beef or Italian sausage
03 - 1 (24-oz) bottle pasta sauce
04 - 2 (8-oz) tins tomato sauce
05 - 1 tsp mixed Italian herbs

→ For the Cheese Mixture

06 - 1 (24-oz) tub cottage cheese
07 - 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
08 - 1/4 cup tangy sour cream
09 - 1 egg, whisked
10 - 1 Tbsp parsley flakes

→ For Layering

11 - 1 lb sliced mozzarella
12 - 1/2 cup powdered parmesan

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 375ºF. Boil the lasagna sheets following box instructions, drain them and put them aside.
02 - Cook your meat in a pan over medium heat until brown, then drain fat. Mix in pasta sauce, tomato sauce, and herbs. Let it bubble for 5-10 minutes till it gets thicker.
03 - Stir cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, whisked egg, and parsley in a mixing bowl until smooth.
04 - Coat a 9x13-inch dish with cooking spray. Add 1 cup of meat mix, then place 6 noodles across the dish so they overlap.
05 - Spread half the cheese blend, a third of your mozzarella, half the remaining meat, and 1/4 cup parmesan. Do these layers again, finishing with the last cheese. Cover with foil.
06 - Pop it in the oven with foil for 25 minutes, then take the foil off and cook another 30 minutes till it's bubbling. Let it sit for 15 minutes before cutting.

01 - You can make it early and freeze it
02 - Make sure it's completely unfrozen before cooking
03 - Feel free to swap out the meats
04 - Grated mozzarella works fine instead of slices
