Combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Stir until the mixture is creamy and homogeneous.

Flatten each biscuit round into a 7.5 cm circle using clean hands or a rolling pin.

Place 1 tablespoon of strawberry preserves and a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the centre of each dough circle. Fold into a half-moon and pinch the edges firmly to seal.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep saucepan to 175°C. Fry donuts seam-side down in batches for 2–3 minutes per side or until uniformly golden brown.

Transfer fried donuts onto paper towels to drain excess oil. Cool briefly, then dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
