Effortless Honey Soy Cod (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds.
02 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil.
03 - 1 teaspoon rice vinegar.
04 - 2 cod fillets, each about 5-6 ounces.
05 - 1 tablespoon green onions, thinly sliced.
06 - 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon finely grated ginger.
08 - 2 tablespoons honey.
09 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce.

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the soy sauce, honey, oil, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame seeds in a mixing bowl.
02 - Dry the fillets with paper towels. Coat them with 1 tablespoon of the sauce. Let them sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
03 - Move the oven rack high up. Turn on the broiler to its low setting. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
04 - Broil the fish for 12-14 minutes on low. Brush on some sauce every few minutes. For a bit of a charred finish, crank the broiler to high for 4-5 minutes.
05 - Place the cooked fish on plates and sprinkle green onions on top.

# Notes:

01 - Try swapping in halibut or sea bass as alternate white fish options.
02 - Lime juice works perfectly in place of rice vinegar.
03 - You could sear it in a skillet or grill the fillets instead of broiling.
