Effortless Air Fryer Onion Rings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 yellow sweet onions, medium size.
02 - 1 teaspoon of fine salt.
03 - A teaspoon of black pepper.
04 - 2 tablespoons of cornstarch.
05 - 1 cup of standard flour.
06 - 4 cups of crispy panko crumbs.
07 - Spray for cooking.
08 - 3 big eggs.
09 - Milk, 3/4 of a cup.
10 - 1/3 cup of mayo.
11 - 2 tbsp of ketchup.
12 - Optional: chopped fresh parsley for topping.

# Instructions:

01 - Chop off the onion tops and bottoms, peel them, and slice into 1/4-inch thick rings. Pull the rings apart individually.
02 - In one bowl, stir together the cornstarch, salt, flour, and pepper. Beat the milk and eggs in another bowl. Fill the final bowl with panko crumbs.
03 - Dip each ring into the flour mixture, then coat it with the egg mixture, and finally press it into the panko crumbs.
04 - Spray nonstick spray on the rings and the fryer basket. Air fry them at 350°F, let them cook for 5 minutes. Flip them over and fry 5 minutes more.
05 - Combine the ketchup and mayo in a small dish until smooth.
06 - Add optional parsley for a pop of color. Enjoy warm onion rings with the sauce.

# Notes:

01 - If you’re making lots of them, keep finished rings warm in a 200°F oven.
02 - Prefer bigger rings? Slice the onions closer to 1/2 inch thick.
