Chop off the onion tops and bottoms, peel them, and slice into 1/4-inch thick rings. Pull the rings apart individually.

In one bowl, stir together the cornstarch, salt, flour, and pepper. Beat the milk and eggs in another bowl. Fill the final bowl with panko crumbs.

Dip each ring into the flour mixture, then coat it with the egg mixture, and finally press it into the panko crumbs.

Spray nonstick spray on the rings and the fryer basket. Air fry them at 350°F, let them cook for 5 minutes. Flip them over and fry 5 minutes more.

Combine the ketchup and mayo in a small dish until smooth.
