01 - 6 slices white sandwich bread
02 - 1 cup thinly shredded cheese
03 - 6 thin slices ham

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the crusts off each piece of bread using a sharp knife.
02 - Gently roll each bread slice flat with a rolling pin.
03 - Evenly sprinkle shredded cheese atop each bread slice. Lay one slice of ham over the cheese if desired.
04 - Tightly roll up each bread slice. Secure with toothpicks if needed to hold shape.
05 - Heat a non-stick skillet over medium to medium-low heat. Melt the butter evenly in the pan.
06 - Arrange the roll-ups seam side down. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, turning regularly with tongs to achieve even golden browning on all sides.
07 - Remove from heat. Optionally slice each roll-up in half before serving warm.
