Honey Mac & Cheese Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 16 oz twisted pasta
02 - 25 oz crunchy chicken strips
03 - 5 slices bacon, fried and broken up
04 - salt and pepper as needed
05 - leafy basil

→ Honey Pepper Sauce

06 - ¾ cup honey
07 - ¼ cup soft brown sugar
08 - 3 tablespoons reduced salt soy sauce
09 - ¼ cup juice from pineapple
10 - juice squeezed from 1 lemon
11 - 1 tablespoon vinegar
12 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
13 - ¼ teaspoon spicy cayenne pepper

→ Cheese Sauce

14 - 1 stick butter
15 - 2 cups thick cream
16 - ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
17 - 1 cup newly grated mozzarella cheese
18 - ¾ cup newly grated colby jack cheese
19 - 2-3 cloves chopped garlic

# Instructions:

01 - Follow package guidelines to cook the chicken and pasta.
02 - Mix all sauce stuff in a pan. Let it bubble then simmer for 15 minutes until it gets thick.
03 - Heat butter with cream. Stir in cheeses one by one, then add garlic. Throw in salt and pepper.
04 - Toss pasta with the cheese sauce and bacon bits. Cover chicken pieces with honey pepper sauce.
05 - Place saucy chicken on top of the pasta, sprinkle with basil, and add extra bacon if you want.
